Joomla Updates
As a Content Management System, Joomla is one of the most popular and most versatile systems available. As with all software it will advance as the developers improve the software, this includes strengthening the code as a defence against hackers. This is why it is important for all customers to keep their site software upgraded to the latest versions. At 3cellhosting we appreciate that not everybody will feel comfortable in doing these upgrades themselves. This is why we now offer the option to have your Joomla updated for just £10.
This payment covers:
- Site backup before any update is carried out,
- Joomla updated to latest version (Joomla 1.0.15 or Joomla 1.5.20),
- Operational Test
Hackers will exploit any opportunity to deface, hijack, or worse still, infect an insecure website. It is the customer's responsibility to remain up to date with software releases (unless you have a maintenance contract with us) and therefore any work required to cleanse and disinfect a site that is not using current versions of software will be chargeable.
Please note that changing Joomla 1.0 to Joomla 1.5 is a conversion and is not covered by the £10 update option.
